Report: Cstore launches trade-in program for old MacBook laptops
MOSCOW, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Apple monobrand retail chain Cstore, owned by the combined company Svyaznoy-Euroset, has started accepting old MacBook laptops in exchange for a discount to buy a new one, iPhone smartphones, or iPad tablets, business daily Vedomosti reported on Friday on its website.
Cstore head Dmitry Lazarenko said the trade-in program is opened in all 30 stores of the chain across the country.
Local firm Damprodam has been purchasing MacBooks since August 2017 and is Svyaznoy’s partner on laptop trade-in, the firm’s founder Yelena Bogatyryova told Vedomosti.
Damprodam buys laptops and hands them via own channels to business consumers. The firm works with Svyaznoy under a revenue sharing model by offering the retailer a part of the cost of traded-in devices.
